Privacy Policy

MP04 aims to collect as little personal information as possible. Correction reports store the submitted message, source link and optional contact detail in a private editorial database. Contact details are used only to clarify a report and are never displayed publicly.

Performance measurements

The site records page path and anonymous browser performance measurements such as loading speed and visual stability. These measurements do not include names, email addresses or the contents of forms and are used to improve website performance.

Optional cookies and Google Analytics

If you select Accept cookies in Cookie preferences, MP04 loads Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and public page views. Google receives browser and device information, your IP address for connection and approximate location processing, and cookie identifiers. We send only known public page paths. We exclude search pages, URL query parameters, fragments, form contents, names, email addresses and other personal information from the page information we supply. Google Signals, advertising personalization and enhanced measurement are disabled. Advertising consent remains denied.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_PC1NKX0XHP to distinguish browsers and visits. These cookies are configured to expire after 180 days. Your accepted or rejected choice is stored separately on this device for 180 days in local storage under mp04-cookie-choice-v1. This preference storage is used to remember your decision.

Before acceptance, or after rejection, we do not load the Google Analytics tag or send Analytics measurement requests. Accept cookies and Reject optional cookies are equally available. Use the persistent Cookie settings button to change your decision. Selecting Reject optional cookies withdraws consent, removes the measurement frame, stops future tracking and clears accessible Google Analytics cookies for this website. Withdrawal does not delete data already received by Google. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.

Google Maps content

Place maps use Google Maps. Where a local place photo is unavailable, Google photos load automatically as cards and place images come into view. Additional Google photos and ratings load when you choose to load them. Photo requests share your IP address and browser connection information with Google. MP04 does not send your device location to the photo and rating service or save Google photos and ratings in your browser storage. The Google Privacy Policy applies to its services. You can hide the additional photos and ratings using the close button.
