Dams, structures made to hold the most important natural resource, yes water. We can't imagine a single day without water as it falls into the category of the most needed things to sustain after oxygen. Water is everywhere but there are many limitations that we are unable to use that water for our livelihood or in our daily household works. Seawater contains a large amount of salt which can damage many organs, for regular use, one can collapse too. Only 0.7% of the total water is free for drinking purposes, rest all is salty water. To conserve this beautiful resource MP government started a project name Samrat Ashok Sagar project. Which is started near Bhopal on a tributary of betwa river named Halali, so this dam is also known as Halali Dam and the project is named after this tributary name Halali. It is located 11 km far away from the Bhopal-Sanchi highway. Transportation facility is too good, buses cabs and even rickshaws are available from Bhopal and from Sanchi as well. Halali dam is a must visit place for the nature lovers as it contains rich in species of flora and fauna. Water boating and small sports are also available which are undertaken by the private sectors, which allow newcomers and visitors to drive a pedal boat or a motorboat with all the safety precautions, this experience for the visitors is something unimaginable and extraordinary too. Halali dam is named as Halali retreat after a good and big restaurant newly opened there which offers many delicious foods and fast foods also. They have around half a dozen variety of foods like Chinese, Indian, South Indian, Punjabi, continental, etc. A small forest is also can be observed just after the Halali dam. Forest walks at evening times during sunset and in the mornings of winters transfers a pleasant freshness to the visitors from nature. Many camps have been organized by school or colleges which provide the student an exposure to the outside and raw world, helps students to know about different creatures which are made by nature. For the bike riders and drive lovers, the road is something extra fine and the turns are so smooth too which attracts the bike lovers there. The sunrise while taking a morning walk there provides calmness to the visitors. The best time to visit there is in monsoon, winter or autumn season but for experiencing the nature there is no good and bad time to visit, every season is equally beautiful in different aspects. Many of the creatures are seasonal so to be an eyewitness of rare species all seasons and months are equally well to hit a visit there. Best time to visit there are evening and morning but have a spare time of around 1 hour as it takes around 45 minutes to reach there from Bhopal and around 30 mins from Sanchi. Yes, totally a must visit place for all age group people, as that place is full of nature, and nature is always equal to all their children.
