There are many museums present currently in Madhya Pradesh, but this fish house has some unique points which make this super duper extraordinary. This fish house popularly known as Macchli Ghar in Bhopal is a house which contains many aquariums. Aquariums are of small medium and large sized to contain many endangered and unique species of fishes and aquatic animals. As soon as you reach the fish house the first thing you will notice here is that the fish house is in the shape of a big fish which makes this different. This fish house is near the assembly house facing towards the lower lake. This fish house is established in the year 1977, may. This Machli Ghar has two floors and contains an area of about one hectare, which makes it so vast and spacious. It contains about sixty-six varieties of various aquatic animals and fishes. On the first floor, there is a statue of a crocodile which is around nine feet long and is so realistic that one could get a shock when they observe this statue. The first floor of the aquarium contains about forty small and medium-sized aquariums which have many different species like Tiger Barb, Black Moor, blue, Rosy Barb, Shark, paradise Golden Plata, Golden Gormi, King Zebra and King Kobra. And the lower floor contains twenty-six medium and large sized aquarium which contains many other species. The ground floor especially contains the fishes which have been bought from the lakes or from the sea as this floor contains comparatively large-sized aquariums from the first floor and these aquariums contain floras like Sawal, Padin, Rohu, Katla, Padin, Collet, Mirgal, Sawal, Ticto, Bam fish and Pencil-Fira. The timings in which the visitors can hit there visit is from 01:00 pm to 08:00 pm in April to September months and from 12 noon to 07:00 pm in October to March. The entry ticket is so minimum which is totally worth it. Many school trips and college trips have been organized to this fish house to get an educational traveling tour about the unexplained life of the aquatics. Many aquatic lovers and biology lovers visit here in regular interval to witness the new and unseen species. Many photographers like to visit here to get the pics of many aquatic fishes and to do aquatic and biological photography. The transportation facility till here is so good from the Bhopal station or from bus stand, as it is located in the prime location one can easily get any taxi to reach here. A must visit place to witness the other form of life that is aquatic.
